“Restraining Order is a modern hardcore band that needs no introduction, having released their music on New Age Records and Triple B Records. Where most of their hardcore contemporaries favor a heavy and metallic sound, The music of Restraining Order calls to mind the blistering punk of bands like Jerry´s Kids and SSD. Their latest record ´Locked In Time´, released in 2023, saw the band experimenting with some psychedelic and garage sounds.
The ´First Four Years Odds & Sods´ LP compiles various songs from their early days, recorded 2017 – 2021. From rough mix outtakes and demo recordings to tracks only previously released on compilations: this record features Restraining Order at their rawest. Also included are three cover songs, showing some surprising influences. Or perhaps showing a band that´s not afraid to have a little fun in between the more urgent hardcore tunes.”
