Grippers - Complicity is a weapon 12"LP

With carefully crafted bass lines from Matt Freeman himself, Grippers could very well sign for a national label called Gato del Infierno. You know what I mean. Their punk rock with attitude is well worth it.

The work opens with "Call of the Wolves" , a cut that, in addition to being closely linked to the title of this Ep , talks about the packs (understood as the greatest scourge of today's society) and denounces the silence that surrounds them. Traditional punk rock , well executed and with choruses that encourage us to exterminate those cursed wolves.

This album moves away from homogeneity by offering different registers. In "Defiance" , the group approaches the border of hardcore to remind me of the legendary Wallride, while in "Suburban Rats" the sound (and lyrics) we find is more typical of California in the late 80s . You want to grab a skate and invade a pool.

If we demand the (complicated) need to highlight one song above the rest, that would be "Keep on Rollin'" . The third cut of the Ep is not only the most notable of this set of songs, but perhaps the best of his entire career. A great song that brims with a positive mental attitude, that has strength and melody, a powerful chorus and that, in addition, may remind you of Limp Bizkit. Has it all.

Conclusion : Grippers are more alive than ever. The band has released their best work to date and are active on stage. This October 28 they will be playing at the Wurli together with the Londoners Jawless, and next month they will do the same on British soil. We've been told that these songs sound even better live, so... you know.
