After touring europe two times and after releasing two singles we finally get to see the debut album of SHANDY from Brisbane. Everyone who has got listen to those singles will probably know what to get, but all of you will be surprised as well: Besides the remarkable Bovver-Boogie sound of SHANDY they improved their music with a smart dose of Punk Rock RAMONES-Style! Now the SHANDY sound is much more danceable, Powerpop meets Bovver Rock, the best from two worlds since beer and football! Nach 2 Singles und 2 erfolgreichen Europa-Touren nun endlich das Debüt-Album von SHANDY aus Brisbane. Wer im Besitz dieser Singles ist(Die "Bish Bosh Bash"7" erschien übrigens vor wenigen Tagen erst mit 2 Non-Album Tracks) und die Australier bereits live erleben durfte weiss was ihn erwartet und wird dennoch überrascht sein: Zu dem zum Markenzeichen gewordenen glamrockigen Bovver-Boogie hat sich auf "Tough Pucker" eine gehörige Portion Punkrock der Marke RAMONES gesellt - und dieses neue Element passt wie ein Känguru-Faustschlag auf's Ohr des Hörers. Unterm Strich sind SHANDY jetzt noch tanzbarer, Powerpop trifft Bovver-Rock, das Beste aus zwei Welten seit der Kombination Bier und Fussball, seit Schnitzel und Pommes oder Sex und Rock N'Roll. Zehn kleine Hymnen, die fast etwas zu spät kommen um das Sommergefühl zu konservieren. Die 12" läuft übrigens auf schnittigen 45rpm um den Hörgenuss noch etwas zu steigern.
