It might seem a bit paradoxal at first sight when Contra is doing a postpunk release, but we stay tuned to our motto: No Time For Bad Music!
LUSH RUSH were founded in 2014 and this is their first vinyl release beside some songs on their Bandcamp site, the 3 songs on this 7" were already recorded in 2018 by Jean-Christohe Vareille.
LUSH RUSH: Five girls from Paris doing a post-punk band.
Eva was a former bathroom and karaoke singer who join the band as the lead singer.
Elloran follows as the lead guitarist, Peggy who played with the Suppressives before is now the bassist.
Johanne was learning drums and so became the drummer.
The rythm guitarist was Evelyne for this EP and is now replaced by Aurélie.
"We're mainly influenced by the riot girls movement and have various musical tastes from punk, garage, metal to 90's alternative and grunge".
All in all, Postpunk and a bit New Wave is what you’ll find in their sound and if you like bands such as SIOUXIE AND THE BANSHEES, THE COATHANGERS, JOY DIVISION or LE TIGRE - take your time and check LUSH RUSH!
